The tour did not begin and end with the Acropolis. We also made stops at the old Olympic stadium, built in the late 1800's and the site of the first "new" Olympic games.
And here's a shot of me with the Acropolis behind me. This photo was taken in front of the Olympic Stadium.
Additionally, we drove past Hadrian's Gate. Hadrian was the head of Rome but had been born in Athens so he sent a lot of Roman coins to Athens for the building of public works. On the Acropolis I did get a shot of Hadrian's gate and the ruins beyond. Please be aware that I used a telephoto lens on that second shot and the cropped and enhanced it. It's nowhere NEAR that close!
