End of Day 1

It's been quite a day! I've checked in to a Comfort Inn in Cullum, AL, and have had dinner. When I went to pull out a sweater I'm working on for Thomas, I realized I'd forgotten to pack the second set of needles.

Now if you're a knitter, you know you have to have a smaller set of needles to work ribbing. And I need to start the ribbing for the front of the sweater.

The bad news is that Cullum is so small that there isn't a yarn shop in town. (There's a cross stitch shop, but it's only open Mon-Fri. Go figure. What are they thinking!?)

And... There's no JoAnn's; no Michael's; no Hobby Lobby. What to do????? Well, I guess that tonight I'll just have to work on the Damask Bag model for the class on August 11, and try to find a WalMart tomorrow. Hopefully it'll still have bamboo knitting needles in stock!
